A How-To For Sweet Ladies (and Gentlemen) Who Still Don’t Know How To Share Links In Comments.

Inspired by the lovely Margie Peterson

I think you can do it with a quick lesson. On your computer or laptop this works, but on mobile it is different. Hope this helps.

Step 1.

In a separate tab or window find the web page you wish to share- Find the address bar at the top of the page, and click it to select it.

While the address is selected you can copy the text by right clicking and selecting “copy” from the little menu or you can copy it by selecting it, the same way then pressing your control button and your letter C at the same time. [Control C] copies the selected text into the short term memory. Now go to the next step.

Step 2.

In your own comment or post on Medium, in a different window or tab, double click or tap the word you want to have a link in. In the image I double clicked the word WORD. From the menu shown click the chain icon.

Step 3.

Now click in that little window and paste in the text you copied earlier. You can paste copied text two ways. You can either right click in that window and another menu pops up — choose paste.
Or you can simply click the window then press the control button at the same time as the V button. [Control V] pastes in whatever text you last copied.

Side note: the P was taken for printing- in case you wonder why the V is the magic paste letter.

I sincerely hope this helps you, my friend.

Cheers. Happy linking.

P.S. I am going to link THIS post in the comment you see in the images- so when you get here, from there, you will hopefully get a chuckle.

Dedicated to Margie Peterson the sweetest lady on Medium.
